Varlion Cañon Carbon Difusor S 2021
Professional padel racket, with a diamond shape that advantage power over control.
Among its main characteristics the Varlion Cañon Carbon Difusor S 2021 is the Wings Diffuser technology stands out in the heart, aerodynamically optimized with a 27% improvement in the air flow compared to the previous one, which allows better control of the blade to direct the ball where the player wants and with more regularity.
Varlion includes an adhesive Hexagon protector. Designed and produced through a low-hardness PTU injection mold to absorb shocks and scratches. This protector is fixed on the frame of the blade by means of an adhesive tape without the need to drill the frame, which also helps to avoid vibrations. In its latest version we have reduced its weight by 50%, now weighing only 11 grams.
The very mold with which this racket is manufactured includes a hexagonal texture with relief on the plane, designed so that the player can apply effects more easily, especially in topspin shots.
To solve the changes that the temperature exerts on the blade materials, this model has been manufactured with two types of rubber: a softer one, called “W”, recommended to be used at low temperatures or up to 25ºC / 77ºFF; and a harder one, called “S”, recommended for use at temperatures above 25ºC / 77ºF.
Manufactured using a bidirectional carbon tubular and 38MM EVA Hypersoft core of high hardness for the “S” version (Summer) and low hardness for the “W” version (Winter). The core is laminated with two layers of plain 7 Rhombus carbon fiber fabric and a layer of aluminized fiberglass fabric, the weight of which depends on whether the blade is the “S” or the “W” version. It is reinforced at the heart with plain carbon fiber fabric, impregnated in Varlion’s exclusive VAR-FLEX epoxy resin, to obtain maximum elasticity and resistance, and covered by a layer of titanium dioxide.
TECHNOLOGIES DESIGNED FOR VARLION CAÑON CARBON DIFUSOR S 2021
HEXAGON FRAME: Hexagonal frame whose shape provides greater rigidity and resistance to the blade, as a rib is created in the frame that has a straight part (edge) and a chamfered part (chamfer).
HEXATEX TECHNOLOGY: Rough texture with a hexagonal shape on the plane, which increases the effect that the ball takes when it contacts this surface in topspin or cut shots.
TEMPERATURES: The environmental temperature directly influences the behavior of a paddle tennis racket, altering its hardness and flexibility; this causes our game to change and be unstable. To solve this problem, the higher-end models have been made in duplicate (a “W” version for Winter, and another “S” version for Summer), with enough technical differences in their core construction to play with. one version or another depending on the ambient temperature: At high temperatures the materials soften, especially the foam or EVA of the core, thus changing the performance of the blades.
WINGS DIFFUSER: Technology developed on the Varlion Cañon Carbon Difusor S 2021 with the aim of directing the air flow in the only “treatable” area of the blade where the air passes through, its heart. Its design is inspired by the diffuser that first featured the Brawn GP Formula 1 team at the rear and bottom of the car. The advantages of this technology are:
• Higher speed of the player both in fast strokes and smash.
• A greater regularity of the hit by making the trajectory more constant, thanks to the zero influence of the turbulence that conventional blades normally have in the heart area.
• Greater amount of strokes with more control, also thanks to the reduction of said turbulence.
7 RHOMBUS CARBON FABRIC: 12K carbon fiber fabric in a rhomboid shape, to give greater flexibility to the core.
HEXAGON PROTECTOR: New adhesive protector designed exclusively for Hexagon frame models like Varlion Cañon Carbon Difusor S 2021. In its previous version, this protector weighed 21g, however, thanks to the new design, its weight has been reduced by half, now weighing only 10g. It has been designed and produced through an injection mold in a low hardness PTU to absorb shocks and scrapes. It is fixed on the frame of the blade by means of an adhesive material without the need to drill into the frame and thus avoiding having to weaken it for fixing. With this, possible vibrations of the protector are eliminated and a total twinning between the frame of the blade and the lower surface of the protector is achieved.
GRADUAL HOLES: Drilling technology manufactured on the Varlion Cañon Carbon Difusor S 2021 consists of using 3 different sizes of holes making them smaller in the central area (10 mm in diameter), medium in the middle area until we get closer to the frame (11.5 mm) and large in the area perimeter or closer to the frame (13 mm). With this perforation we manage to compensate for the excessive flexibility of the center of the blade with the low flexibility of the area of the core that joins the frame, thus allowing greater homogeneity to impacts and increasing the resistance of the core.
HYPERHARD: Hard foam core with spectacular hardness and rebound measurements, which gives the blades a very balanced control and power for use with high temperatures from 20 / 25º.
